What courses do I need to take to get licensed?

Insurance licensing requirements vary by state and by license type (life, health, property and casualty, etc.). Visit our Course Catalog and select your state to view the required pre‑licensing hours and available courses. Each course page lists the relevant licensing requirements and any state‑specific guidance.

Do I need a proctor for my exam?

State rules on exam proctors differ. Some state insurance departments require a disinterested third‑party proctor for pre‑licensing course exams, while others do not. Check the State Requirements page on our site or contact us for guidance.

How long do I have to complete my course? Can I get an extension?

Each course comes with an access period, which is displayed on your Account Information dashboard. If you need more time, contact our support team before your course expires. We will work with you to request an extension, but some states restrict extensions and fees may apply. Courses purchased under an “Foundation” package are not eligible for extensions.

What happens after I finish my course?

When you complete a pre‑licensing course, you’ll receive a certificate of completion. We will report your completion to the appropriate state licensing authority where required. You can then schedule your state licensing exam with the designated testing provider. Refer to your state’s requirements for registration and exam scheduling.

Can I switch to a different course?

If you purchased the wrong course, contact us as soon as possible. We can exchange an unused, unexpired course for another course of equal or lesser value. Completed courses cannot be exchanged, and additional state filing fees may apply.

Once a refund is issued, access to any incomplete courses will be terminated and cannot be reinstated.

Do you offer a money‑back guarantee?

We stand behind the quality of our courses. If you complete all lessons, quizzes, and final exams within the allotted time and do not pass your state licensing exam, contact us with your exam score report. We will review your case and may reimburse the online course fees on a prorated basis. Fees for printed materials, shipping, and state filings are non‑refundable.
